Original vintage 1950s deep red velvet swing coat.
The coat is designed with a large shaped puritan collar with moulding to the neck and fastens with large carved bakelite buttons. The sleeves are flared and mirror the collar shape and the back is flared to a draped swing. Two jet pockets are positioned at the hips.
This coat has been modified at some point (possibly the 1960s) to a shorter length and would have originally been calf length.
