Em was one of our first brides at the boutique and was planning a big country garden wedding in a pretty village near to Wells. After trying on a few dresses, Em was looking for a dress that would be perfectly in proportion to her petite frame. Something elegant, traditional and womanly in design.
I looked at the classics, the hourglass cuts with a slightly softer line. Off the shoulder and the short fitted sleeves keeping the lines long and unfused.
The lace Em chose was a stunning French made bow pattern lace with a cotton content making it elegantly matte (the difference between a cheap lace and the real thing). Underneath the dress was made in a silk satin giving that beautiful lustre but again no high shine. Everything luxurious to the skin and the eye.
Anna painstakingly matched the pattern of the lace at the seams and hand appliquéd sections to blend. On Ems small frame, all the details were to be delicate.
Em wore the full length veil her grandmother had made for her mothers wedding day, a really special touch.
