I have been spending far too much time editing photos of the pumpkin dress.Photographed lots of black dresses and the plaid dress which I may hem again or leave the full length.
Continued with the star fabric to design a skirt and sheer top. Dress coat and pullover dress. Moving away from waisted to a looser cut is really hard but I want to see how the sheer tulles work in a more relaxed style. Taking inspiration from the vintage 1980s red Frida Khalo style dress and Molly Goddard's gorgeous confections of ruffles.
I have emailed all the suppliers in regards to the Stacey Dooley program and have started to write up the changes I am making and what I have found out. Relieved that my main fabrics are all good, especially tulle. Just waiting on the jerseys.
Started to cut a crepe cape for the Bride of Frankenstein dress planned. Need to research 1930s and 40s spider web embellishments.
Online marketing is a real challenge, I can't survive trying to create these wonderful things if I won't show anyone, it would help if I wasn't modeling!
