Couture dresses are always special. It gives us the opportunity to work with a customer on a completely unique piece that is designed exclusively for them, their style and their day.
Late last year, bride Maria and her mother Julie commissioned a gown to be designed for Maria's Jewish Wedding in New Jersey.
We sketched Maria's ideas and sent samples of silk crepe in a range of shades. The stunning Sea Pearl was chosen in a heave silk crepe satin which has the most beautiful lustre.
The dress has a distinct 1930s style with three quarter length sleeves with a bishop cuff and elegant round neckline. The skirt s cut on the bias with a small puddle train and a long silk sash ties the waist.
Running down the back were 41 silk covered buttons to finish the elegant cut.
Maria looked stunning on her wedding day.
