This personal project took inspiration from old epithets and ideas around femininity, identity and culture. There was visual influence from fairy-tales and ballet and all things princessy and nice. All those 'nice' feminine tropes that excluded all but a few.
My goal became simple, focus on creating and finding beauty.
'Rose Tint My World Keep Me Safe from the Trouble and Pain'. Rocky Horror, its one of the most important quotes in the world to me.

The Brier Rose dress is made in a blue silk duchess satin, a highly luxurious silk fit for a fairy tale princess and a Sleeping Beauty.
The roses are old style Brier Roses in pale pink and hand painted from my sketches to cascade down the side of the dress. Finished with the classic pretty bow and supported by metres and metres of soft tulle underskirts.
