Couture black tulle wedding dress with gold feather embellishment.

We are very lucky to have a number of musician brides, which for some reason usually means we get to make the most beautiful gowns that aren't always white. I can't believe that this is our first black wedding dress. It's something I have wanted to do since I started in 2009 and this was well worth the wait.

Charlotte couldn't have been more "our type of bride' beautiful, creative with a great understanding of design. She came through a recommendation and simply wrote the words gold feathers which made me instantly excited.

The dress was designed with a structured bodice that had a strapless cut, nipped in waist and full tulle skirt. The soft tulle was hand draped to the boned bodice and finished with a black velvet trim to define the waist. The gold feather were then hand applied to a tulle base which I designed to graduate down the back and to the front with a fan at the shoulder.

The dress was perfect for Charlotte and I'm really glad I was able to meet her in person for a fitting. I was even happier when I saw the marabou feather heels that were worn with the dress!

As expected Charlotte looked breathtaking on her wedding day. Thank you!
