Goodwood Revival has just come to an end for 2025, a weekend of vintage cars and vintage fashion. Good friend Scarlett Luxe was invited by Alpine cars to the festival and needed a dress.
Firstly picking a few original vintage monochrome pieces from my collection, I asked if I could design Scarlett a custom dress. I love designing dresses!
After a few sketches, Scarlett sent over this pic of the heavenly Audrey Hepburn dress from Sabrina, designed by Givenchy.
Could I produce a dress that nodded to this beauty, that would be practical for a full day at Goodwood Festival?

Sketch for the dress, a longer elegant midi length with a detachable full over skirt in the prettiest pink crepe and vintage black corded lace.
The base dress with tulle overskirt.
The vintage lace is cut into motifs to be appliqued onto the dress. Each piece arranged and pinned in place before fusing and hand stitching.
Scarletts fitting at the my studio, styling the dress with vintage style peep toes, a true vintage wide brim hat and of course the classic sheer black gloves.
