Skye's final dress was to be worn for her official wedding ceremony at the Hauser and Wirth Gallery, Bruton. The venue is set in the Somerset countryside, a group of stone buildings and a soft sweeping garden designed by Piet Oudolf.
At the end of the garden is a sculpted Pavilion designed by Architect Smiljan Radić in which Skye was to be married in.
For this part the dress was to be classical, simple, romantic and have a silhouette that would hold up in such a clean contemporary space.
Skye chose a classic sweetheart silk bodice, an original design had been a collared bandeau. The sweetheart reflected Skye's femininity more and the silk duchess satin maintained a fresh bold line. The billowing full circle tulle skirt was all the fairytale, softness and ballerina in style but left plain was simple and fresh. It looked stunning in the Pavilion. Again you'll have to wait for the final photos!
The dress was designed specifically for Skye based on our separates collection.
Made in the silk duchess satin, the sweetheart bodice has a clean line with a simple pinch front to the bust. Fully boned with no worries of falling out of place. From the natural waist, layers of full circles of tulle are gently gathered with a full satin underskirt. Matching silk covered buttons trim the back of the dress.
The Photos - take at the studio in the bridal room. I loved how the tulle skirt emulated the Marilyn Monroe photos by Milton Green. Skye has a wonderful balletic way of holding herself, along with being very relaxed in her dresses, making her great to photograph.
