Spring Summer 2025 for Deadly is the Female.
Designing the summer collection used to be a real struggle at Deadly is the Female, film noir femme fatales don't really do summer!
Claudia (The owner of Deadly is the Female) being a true romantic goth and my love of black (and more black) combined with our great British weather, it's sometimes difficult to image sunshine in the depths of winter when sourcing fabrics.
However, this year we have been treated to glorious sunshine and textile prints all sourced in the UK that indulge our pretty goddess and gothic romance whims.
Scarlett (Deadly Manageress and Top Model) always brings a bright and sunny light to everything. On a few days in March we photographed the Spring Summer collection with Scarlett, Maddie and Kath where pastels and a pretty prints found their style in the streets of Frome.

The lilac draped jersey maxi dress, such a Grecian goddess feel to the maxi dresses which I always love.

This is a beautiful delicate rose print on a semi sheer chiffon. I imagined wonderful high summer lounging being done in this dress.

The Romance print is a darker, more painterly rose print in rich jewel tones on a light bamboo silk like material. Modelled by Maddie at the house of artist Paul Freddy Payne in Frome.
