Original 1940s embroidered wool maxi coat.
A stunning embroidered maxi coat possibly from the arts and crafts period in a beautiful botanical design. The coat features a neat peter pan collar, fit and flare princess line cut and pleated puff shoulders to the full length sleeves. Small matching shoulder pads structure the shoulder pads.
The embroidered crewel work of floral motifs possibly originate from Kashmir India and carefully placed across the back, elbows, cuffs, hips and hem.
There are small dark red Bakelite buttons all the way down and the coat is unlined with cotton bound seams.
The stitching is cotton.
