Original late 1930s bias cut evening gown in ivory water silk and scarlet red crepe.
This is a sensational design with high contrast colouring and beautiful fabrics. The dress has a classic late 1930s wartime design with a sweetheart neckline, puff sleeves and panel cut shaping to the waist. The skirt is bias cut, full length with a flare and is hemmed in this gorgeous lipstick red silk crepe. This same red crepe covers tiny buttons the whole length of the dress and acts as a delicate facing along the neckline and cuff.
The back of the dress fastens with ivory covered buttons at the back and a tie belt.
A beautifully cut and designed garment that would make a stunning 1930s wedding gown.
