Vintage 1940s Black Satin Tulle Gown

Original vintage 1940s black satin couture evening gown with tulle skirt and detachable bolero.

This is a spectacular design with sleek 1940s design and a beautiful silhouette. Cut with a soft sweetheart neckline, folded bodice and covered button detailing. The skirt is smooth over the hips flaring to a draped bow sash and deep tulle hem. The tulle section of the skirt has a yellow underlayer giving extra detail to the ballgown. 

Could benefit from an added tulle underskirt to give more volume. 

A neat bolero hooks to the dress at the neckline.

Condition: in good wearable condition, light wear with some snags to the bolero back and a replaced button.  Dry cleaned and ready to wear.
As with most vintage items, this dress has been previously worn and is over 50 years old.
