Original vintage late 1940s black velvet New Look ear dress.

This elegant dress is designed perfectly with a collared sweetheart neckline, three quarter length fitted sleeves and a shaped bodice that nips in at the waist. The full circle skirt falls beautifully from the waist with a long split to reveal a pencil skirt underneath.
Looks gorgeous in movement.

Style with suede or velvet peep toe heels, and Dior style tilt hat for full 40s elegance.

Condition: good wearable condition, no significant marks or damage of note, light wear overall. Possibly dressmaker made with exposed internal waist seam, may have been taken out slightly at centre back.

As with most vintage items, this dress has been previously worn and is over 60 years old.
