Original vintage 1940s eau de nil taffeta and silk velvet gown with matching velvet jacket.
This stunning gown must have been incredible in the late 1940s, inspired by Diors new look and in this beautiful pale turquoise eau de nil colour. Designed with a cutaway V neckline, fitted boned bodice and very full seven gore ballgown skirt. Trimmed at the lower hip with a silk velvet band and bow at the back.
To finish there is a matching silk velvet fitted cropped jacket with bracelet length sleeves and covered buttons.
Both dress and jacket are unlined. Comes with a small matching velvet muff.
Would make a gorgeous wedding gown or event dress. Style with a 1930s Hollywood up do and a simple sandal.
