Antique White Cotton Shirt Dress

Original Antique 1920s fine cotton shirt dress with delicate white work embroidery and drawn thread work.

This shirt, probably a night shirt has a soft collar with drawn thread border and button down neckline, featuring embroidery and threadwork either side. A small J.O is embroidered on the left breast. 
Full length sleeves with button cuffs and ankle length. 

Exquisitely made with fine craftsmanship shown in the embroidery and most delicate of seams. 

Style for summer dressing with a belt and sandals. 

Fastening: pull on with tiny mother of pearl buttons at the cuffs and neck

Fabric: medium/light cotton poplin

Label: unsigned, hand made.

Age: Antique 1910s - 1920s

Colour: white

Condition: in very good wearable condition, no marks and a small repair to the cuff opening.

As with most vintage items, this dress has been previously worn and is over 100 years old.
