Vintage 1930s Embroidered French Straw Hat

Original vintage 1930s embroidered chapeau nicois straw hat made in France. 

A beautiful example of the French straw hat, wide brimmed with a small flat crown. Embroidered in wool with a pretty Mimosa, poppy and a blue daisy design. 
Trimmed with a tape edge.

Fastening: new hat elastic has been added to wear under the hair.

Age: 1930s

Condition: in good wearable condition. Repair to small crack in straw at crown and newly bound edge to prolong lifespan and re-enforce edge.

As with most vintage items, this hat has been previously worn and is over 80 years old.
