Vintage 1950s Black Rose Print Taffeta Cocktail Dress

Original vintage 1950s rose print taffeta cocktail dress with long sleeves.

A classic 1950s design covered in roses of purple, pink and red.
The dress has a fitted cross over bodice, three quarter length sleeves and a low V back. The skirt is delicately gathered to the waist and very full in a bell shape.

Lined bodice and stiff muslin underskirt. Additional underskirts not included. 

Fastening: zip back (plastic has been replaced)

Fabric: printed rayon taffeta with black muslin underskirt

Label: unsigned, there is a small manufacturing label near the hem.

Age: late 1950s

Colour: black, red pink and purple with green leaves

Condition: in good wearable condition, zip has been replaced at a later date. Small repair underarm and a couple of tiny pin holes on shoulder. Dry cleaned and ready to wear.

As with most vintage items, this dress has been previously worn and is over 50 years old.
